Porism
At Porism I was responsible for building a website called the Dataset Library. The initial purpose of this application was to highlight when government statistics called metrics should be imported by clients at the Local Government Association. The page displayed the source, collection and dataset and the time period for which the statistics should be next loaded. The overdue and pending statistic were highlighted in the table rows using different colours.
After completing this task I was asked to add to the website to make it possible to add new new sources which involved creating a page to input individual metric types with a form that had many different options and input fields. This also included writing a Windows service plugin to handle bulk uploads through a CSV file.
The final piece of work I completed at Porism was updating a website to allow users to upload map markers of different types for categorised events into a geographical information system.
